I never thaught i will have to write something like this but unfortunately i need to. As all of you should know anti-piracy actions are now top priority. Megaupload is lost, filesonic is not working as it should and the last sad message is that most active member of rareclips (monkey87) just informed me that he will had to quit because his fileserve account got banned 'due to violations of our (fileserve's) Terms and Conditions. ' Why quit? Let me cite his words:
'It is sad when you give so much time and hard work just to make other people happy and you wake up and figure out that only place where you had your files (primary mirror) is simply gone. Second thing is ACTA which is a big danger for all of us and will propably lead to total anihilation of all the 1-click hosting services, it's only a matter of time... Hope you'll figure something out and i'd like to thank you for giving me oportunity to share stuff with people. That's all i have to say i just wish you will never have to close this wonderful place, don't ever let good electronic music be forgotten! Yours truly, monkey87.'
What now? First of all, no worries - I DON'T want and I WON'T close this site, which is a part of me, something like a child and is part and of my vision of a better (perfect?) world where people share stuff with each other, share links to good music, musicvideos, ideas etc. and they're not put in jail for that! If you have any ideas how to 'revive/transform' rareclips (almost all the links are down now and there is no way single person can reup them all + that might be pointless as most of filehosters are experiencing some difficulties) please write a comment. And i beg you don't write coments like 'noooooooooooo omg omg don't do that, monkey87 come back we need you', all we need is a strong and determined COMMUNITY, and TEAMWORK to make it all happen. And then when we grow/build it up, no SOPA, PIPA or ACTA can stop us. Amen.
UPDATE 1: First of all new rules are coming - we won't allow those filehosts that offer affiliate program (make you earn cash) because it's not about earning here, it's about sharing:) Second thing - new request system will be added i just need to integrate it into CMS (no comments in request thread anymore, hooray:) And last thing (for now:) - I just started a soulseek (www.slsknet.org) chat room 'rareclips' so anyone can join and share their ideas and 'stuff':)

Inni is Sigur Ros’ second live film following 2007′s hugely-celebrated tour documentary Heima. Whereas that film positioned the enigmatic group in the context of their Icelandic homeland, providing geographical, social and historical perspectives on their otherworldly music, Inni focuses purely on the band’s performance, and stands as a stark counterpoint to Heima’s kaleidoscopic richness. Where Heima was lush and colorfully expansive, Inni is spare and near-monochromatic in its tunnel vision.Filmed in a manner that invites both intimacy and claustrophobia, Inni cocoons the viewer in a one-on-one relationship with the band, eschewing the audience for closeness, depicting how it feels for both band and fan to experience Sigur Ros live. The film’s elegance and atmosphere are enhanced by Morisset’s re-filming of the original digital footage on 16mm, which was then re-filmed again, sometimes through prisms and other found objects, allowing Inni to look and feel like something recovered from the past. Interspersed with this is archival footage drawn from the band’s previous decade, dating back as far as 1998.
Celebrating his tenth anniversary as a recording artist, The Hacker unleashes this double disc package featuring a CD compilation recorded live and featuring various well known tracks from his catalogue, plus one unreleased production and three bonus studio tracks. The DVD is crammed with goodies, two hours worth of footage in fact, including a documentary feature in addition to various live documents: there's an entire live set recorded in Grenoble back in 2006, plus extra live footage from 2002 featuring Miss Kittin. The hour-long feature 'X' is particularly interesting, documenting The Hacker's beginnings in Grenoble and charting his career arc with more live footage in addition to interviews with the likes of DJ Hell.
