 Future.Loop.Foundation.Memories.From.A.Fading.Room.2007.COMPLETE.PAL.MDVDR-H0TWhen it comes to packing emotion into electronic music it s easy to press the angry button or get horny horny horny horny. Nothing wrong with that as the punky-electro identI-hordes will breathe heavily into your ear. But not so many albums try and explore something deeper and more personal then come up with something that can only be described as beautiful. Future Loop Foundation is Mark Barrott and he s done just that by looking back to his childhood and constructing a series of poignant, haunting electronic reflections inspired by recordings of his family in the 70s. The memories have inspired a lovely soundscape which manages to be dreamy and melodic without slipping into soppiness. It also accompanies a 50 minute DVD film of Super8 footage of Mark s childhood. In some hands this could be cringe-inducing. Barrott exercises his trademark deftness and experience gained from his previous four albums to deliver a stunning piece of work which could actually make you well up if you have any warm feelings towards your own growing up.  Music videos have always been very important in the history of F Communications. With the same attitude as we have towards music, we've been searching for new talents to explore all the new areas of fusion between images and electronic music. Through the years, F COM has built a quality & avant-garde reputation with the successes made on Laurent Garnier's, Mr Oizo's, The Youngsters' videos (and many more). You may have not had the chance to view these videos, as "formatting" is not our first priority when we think about creation. It's clear that we have a serious lack of silicone bimbos, fluo colours, gold chains and big cabriolet cars in our videos. It's true also that we've never been clever enough to shoot a video on a beach or in a club in Ibiza. Most of TV channels are now the sweet little ghetto of "different" videos. So, if you can't stay up late in front of your TV, we offer you this DVD & the chance to enjoy the last videos created by F Communications. There´s something for your eyes, too: Le Mar surprises us by sophisticated graphic and cinematic interpretations of his music. The level of artistic maturity and individuality of the clips is deeply impressing. Gabriel Le Mar studied at the Berliner Hochschule der Künste and worked as an art director as well. The sounds and images, among other places, were recorded in India, Nepal, Japan and Le Mar´s homebase, Frankfurt.
